Day 2 – 6,288 feet

Yesterday afternoon I boarded a snowcat with the crew of the Mount Washington Observatory, and headed up the auto-road with fresh supplies, and a stack of pelican cases. Each week the crew rotates, and hands off the station duties to their counterparts. I am lucky enough to be spending a week working with this devoted group of scientists and weather gurus. Definitely more to come!

Packing for the Summit

Tomorrow morning I am heading up to the summit of Mount Washington to do a story for the Observatory, and to work on two of my own projects. I’ll be taking a snowcat up to the observatory, and living with the summit crew for a week long shift. I’ll be posting here as often as I can with updates and clips from each days shoot.

One of the most beautiful homes I have ever photographed, this architects dream had the warmth and charm of a true southern dwelling.
